Our Belief

In Africa, cybersecurity is not a luxury for big corporations.
It is a daily survival skill for every person with a smartphone,
every business owner with a bank account,
every employee with a work email.

We built ConfamTips to close that gap. Plain English. Real threats. Real protection.

01

Why We Built This

ConfamTips was born out of frustration. Not frustration with hackers — frustration with how cybersecurity advice was being delivered to Africans.

The global cybersecurity industry produces enormous volumes of content. Most of it is written by engineers for engineers, benchmarked against Western infrastructure, and completely irrelevant to the OTP fraud targeting traders across West Africa, the SIM swap attacks hitting business owners in East Africa, or the invoice scams draining contractors across the continent.

“Africa’s digital economy is growing faster than its security infrastructure. That gap is where criminals operate — and where we fight back.”

We started with a simple mission — create the cybersecurity resource we wished had existed when we needed it. Practical. Local. Honest. In plain English that a first-time smartphone user and a CTO could both read and act on.

Today ConfamTips is both a media platform and a professional services company. We publish free guides, threat alerts, and tools that reach over 12,000 Africans every month. We also provide hands-on cybersecurity and IT solutions to businesses across the continent who need more than advice — they need action.

What We
Stand For

Six principles that govern everything we publish, every service we deliver, and every client relationship we build. These are not marketing words — they are operating standards we hold ourselves to publicly.

🛡

Africa First

Every piece of content, every tool, every service is designed specifically for African users, African threats, and African infrastructure. We do not republish Western advice and call it local.

📖

Plain English Always

If a non-technical person cannot understand our advice and act on it, the advice has failed. We write for humans, not engineers. Jargon is a barrier we refuse to hide behind.

Verified Before Published

Every claim we make is verified by a qualified security professional before publication. We do not chase traffic with unverified threat reports. Accuracy protects our readers. Inaccuracy endangers them.

Radically Transparent

We disclose every affiliate relationship. We publish our correction policy. We tell you what our audit can and cannot do. In an industry full of marketing, we choose honesty every time.

🎓

Education As Defence

The most effective cybersecurity tool is a knowledgeable person. We give knowledge away freely because an educated African internet user is harder to hack, harder to scam, and harder to compromise.

🤝

Community Powered

Our best content comes from the questions real Africans ask us. Our threat intelligence is sharpened by reports from readers across the continent. This platform belongs to the community it serves.

Where We Operate

Built For Africa.
All Of It.

Our content, tools, and services are calibrated for the unique threat landscape facing African internet users — from the mobile money fraud targeting West African traders to the ransomware hitting East African healthcare providers.
